This sun visor lasted just over a year before it started falling apart. The materials that make it up are incredibly cheap. Most annoying is that it doesn't retain its structure in the window, so put it down and come back half an hour later to find it falling behind the visors. So yes. It doesn't do its primary job of blocking heat. If this is not enough, the fabric will crumble and give the picture a cracked appearance, which in turn will defeat the purpose of its purchase.

In person it's not always so obvious, remember this is an accordion shaped sun visor so when you "unfold" it ". the image will still wrinkle and distort. So we've had it for 3 years, used on the same car. We have pretty hot summers (up to 100 degrees Fahrenheit and above) and it can get even hotter in the car.
