It seems to work with Sawyer filters.

Sawyer Filter Type. Threads are different. If you do it right, with the right pressure, then there will be no leakage. But about 75% of the time, when water was pushed out of the bag through the filter, water flowed out. Sewage. Then you need to be extra careful not to contaminate clean water. There seems to be places where you can punch holes along the edge for hanging or threading rope through. I would like them to be simply trimmed during the production process. With a different protector it

Ideal for freezing to put in the fridge!

Usually when I go camping over a long weekend (burns etc) I use dry ice on the bottom of the fridge, as a cushion layer (cardboard), then ice, then food. At an event I last attended (in October) I usually drink more hot drinks than cold so the ice usually goes to waste. And I still take plenty of drinking water with me. So I got the idea to buy these bubbles to use in place of ice. I filled them up to the 2 liter mark and put them in the freezer. They worked *exactly* as I had hoped. 2 or 3 of…

A thread incompatible with my Sawyer Mini was leaking heavily.

I bought this as a dirty water bag to use when camping and camping to filter water. I was on the trail and found, my fault for not checking it before going outside, that its strings didn't allow me to securely attach the filter to the bottle. This resulted in more water spilling out than my clean water bottle. I've been able to use medical tape like using plumbing tape and do a seal (MacGyver style) but I'll look for a better bag to use as it's unreliable and I don't want that the tape got into

More benefits than you might know.

This is one of the things I carry around with me now. You know why Here are some benefits that some may not realize: When the air is removed: You eliminate all atmosphere in the bag. Reducing the growth of reptiles above the remaining water. Splashes are greatly reduced which improves balance when placed in a backpack (ideal for cycling). Partially Filled: They fit between round objects in your backpack. They lie flat and offer great packability in a flat space, like a laptop bag. You can also…

Freezes like a charm and ice lasts all day

I love this container for a number of reasons. We bought it a year ago to take to Disney World. We filled it about 2/3 full with water and then froze it in the hotel freezer. Then we wrapped him in a towel and put him in a backpack. It was worth about 2 people cold water all day. I also liked that it got smaller as we drank water which gave us more room in our backpack for souvenirs haha. I liked it so much that I bought a second one a few months ago. We still freeze water on hot days (95+ in…

They work with my Sawyer Squeeze but not as well as the others.

I bought these bottles with my Sawyer Squeeze filter for a gravity feed. These bottles are pretty strong but the carving seems a little different. I've also used Evernew bottles, which always screwed on easily, but Platypus bottles always had more resistance and felt like you were messing up the threads on the Sawyer filter. However, they work and I used them on a 9 day hike with no Sawyer failure or damage. You just have to be a little more careful with Platypus bottles. Also, the Evernew…
