This is cardboard with a light velvet finish so it needs to be handled with care but it is exactly what I expected. I bought this hoping it would be a good way to organize and store my cuff bracelets. When I received the stand it was clear it wasn't going to work. Although my bracelets are 2" in diameter, the holes are only about 1" or less and the bars on the stand are too stiff for the bracelets to open wide enough to fit. I was disappointed.
