Mount the resistors to a metal surface!

I converted to LED headlights in my 2005 Dodge Dakota, and they flickered a lot. I bought this product, installed them, and they stopped all problems with the LED headlight bulbs. I HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND YOU MOUNT the resistor to a METAL surface! Because they will get hot when in use!

Pros
  • Ignition Parts
Cons
  • The product may not be compatible with cars with dimming headlights

Success will be totally dependent on your application

They didn't work for me. They get very hot so don't put them inside your lenses. I did and when I removed them they were covered in melted plastic from the lenses.

Pros
  • This getting to hot to be around plastic
Cons
  • The product may not be compatible with aftermarket headlights or bulbs

Extremely poor quality

First round I bought, I tried to get the plugs seated correctly but ultimately was not able to get one of the negative terminals to work. Credit to the seller, reason for the second star, they sent replacements. That said, these are extremely poorly made. I'll try to get at least one of them to work, but buyer beware they are not plug and play.

Pros
  • Great product! Worked 1st try. Plug & Play
Cons
  • The product may not be returnable or warrantied

Save your money: my feedback

Bought this to take the light off my dash. My light worked perfectly fine. Before the install. Hooked up one light and worked fine. Connected the other my led blew.

Pros
  • They work pretty good so far buy get extremely hot quickly so mount them away from any plastic
Cons
  • This piece of garbage burned my thumb because of how hot it became immediately! No good! Returned!

Does what it should

Works well, I would say having a bit more slack in the wire would be nice. Good build quality, worked well for a 2013 F250. Time will tell how well they hold up to the Texas heat. So that it would be easier to mount.

Pros
  • Good build quality, worked well for a 2013 F250. Time will tell how well they hold up to the Texas heat
Cons
  • The product is not compatible with all vehicle models

HORRIBLE ASSEMBLY: my feedback

I had gotten these for an led headlight conversion to stop flickering. Both of the load resistors leads are just shoved into some shrink wrap, it’s not even soldered together so eventually vibrations shook them loose and they fell somewhere in my engine bay! Just ordered replacement load resistors and I’m going to solder it myself! 2 stars only because when connected it worked fine, but bad manufacturing, like its electronics, it should be soldered for a strong connection. So make sure when you

Almost worked ☹️ on my review.

I installed these on Torchbeam T2 H13/9008 LED Headlight Bulbs. Before installation I was getting headlight error readings. After installation the errors went away. But now I have a different issue. Now there is no difference between high beam and low beam. When I switch to high beam the indicator on the dash comes on. But I see no difference in the lighting. I don't think my lights are switching back down to low beam. Is anyone else having this issue? 2008 Ford Explorer Eddie Bauer edition.

Pros
  • Did exactly what it was supposed to do.
Cons
  • The resistor decoder may create a buzzing or humming noise in the car

Did not fix the problem

Easy install. Plug and play but did not help with flickering . 06 dodge ram lights work when truck is off. When on, strobes 5 times then goes out I have HIDs with ballosts and resisters would not recommend

Pros
  • Nothing but this fixed my flickering issue when I switched to LED. I hope this helps someone out!
Cons
  • No
