The simplicity of using this tool is great for monitoring applications. There are many different ways in which you can use it such as setting up alerts or even sending emails from within an application when logs appear that exceed predefined thresholds set by administrators. I love that it has an easy setup process for log4j configuration files along side of Spring Boot applications as well!
