Too expensive Good for film

Note that you need to flood the area with lots of light or you will regret the results as they are usually too dark. However this is a throwback to the 80's when you wanted a photo without having to wait for development this was the best choice. Image quality at the time depended on adequate lighting and I can't tell you how many overly dark photographs exist from this period. The more things change However, if you work with the camera's special modes, you can do some neat things like double…

Please follow the instructions

I used 2 packs of this film during my recent vacation to Palm Springs and Santa Barbara. If you follow all the instructions correctly, all the pictures will turn out great.1. Remember to put the picture in a dark envelope/box as soon as you get it out from under the frog's tongue and keep it there for at least 10 minutes2. Make sure you follow the instructions for proper film storage and use, especially regarding temperature (if you intend to record in extreme temperature conditions, do not…

Be careful when shopping at Revain or online in general

I am giving the film packaging a low rating because seven of the eight photos I took were of poor quality during processing. All had streaks across the image, were overexposed and bleed through the material within the image on the back. I know this doesn't apply to all packs of film (I've used two packs before and haven't had any issues) but I will definitely not be buying from Revain again. The package I originally received in the mail was made a year ago. before, so it is possible that the…

Most complaints are user error! The movie is actually quite good.

I love Polaroid film, it's one of my favorite materials for photography. Many people complain that the picture quality is poor and doesn't look good. This is usually user error. Some older Polaroid cameras have slower shutter speeds, which means you have to use a stand and make sure there isn't much movement on the screen or you'll get screen blur. Also, this isn't a digital camera, you won't get a photo that looks like it was taken with a Nikon camera. That's not to say you can't take a really

Good Quality Retro Style Color Film

With the introduction of the new retro style Polaroid cameras it's nice to see that film is also readily available. This particular film only works with some cameras, so make sure your camera is compatible with this film. However, the film works very well - at least as expected. It's probably an increase in sharpness over the original look, which just means it's not as washed out and the colors are more true. The camera responds well to film and outputs it smoothly, taking around 10-15 minutes…

Nice try. but not ready for me

I have been a serious photographer for over 50 years. I tried several packs of new Polaroid film on one of the cameras and my old SX 70 with their film for it. The original SX 70 was virtually trouble free. If you paid full retail price, the film was changed for free every time you accumulated 10 disappointments. I've shot over a thousand Polaroids. Color perfect 30 years later. I think I only returned 20 prints, mostly due to my own mistakes. The old film developed quickly and easily. The new…
