Okay I didn't measure before ordering and definitely needed 24 inches. They're great so we decided to cut the legs just 5 inches. FYI for anyone doing this, there is rebar in the frame so you will need to use different chair end caps than what comes with the kit. We're still deciding what to use, but for now we have some felt ribbons. Anyway, I love stools. I wish I was smart enough to measure.

I really wasn't expecting much for the price but they are phenomenal. You are on my kitchen island. They were very easy to assemble and so comfortable. And as a bonus, they are very easy to clean. My whole family loves them which speaks volumes for their comfort. I researched several different brands but these got the best reviews. (Many other brands said the leather was stained and the chairs wobbly.) We've had them for a couple of weeks with no problems. I am very happy with my purchase!

I wanted counter height stools - FYI: The counter height of the kitchen island is 24 inches. BAR height 29 inches. To be fair they are listed as 29 inches which is the length from the base of the seat. The description says ""bar stools" which can be confusing. Despite my suspicions, reviews + photos showed use on the island counter so I ordered and hoped for the best.
