Very good for repairing plastic. Just make sure you use the correct repair plastic. The included green poles seem to be made out of less durable plastic than the Coleman canoe I repaired. I ended up cutting wood shavings from the end panels holding the insulation to use for repairs.
A simple and inexpensive way to repair an HDPE tank. I saved nearly $1,000 by not replacing the damaged tank. We made a 9 inch hole right in the bottom of the tank. The repair kit costs about 15% of the cost of a new tank, and we still have enough supplies left over to repair another tank. In addition to the repair set, we bought another repair set that we didn't need. Worth every penny!
I patched a small hole in my Wilderness Pungo kayak with this kit. After watching a video on uTube I thought it would be better to use stainless steel mesh for reinforcement as the hole was actually at the end of the kayak which sometimes pulls. I was a little nervous that the kayak would "melt" while gluing the net, but after overcoming the initial fear of wrecking my boat it was actually fun. I put several layers of polyethylene on the mesh and I think it's better than new. I still need to…
