PVC Bad Smell

This ball feels nice (actually, I prefer the spiky nubs on it). BUT. it's made of pvc and has a horrible exhaust smell (some kind of obscure oil refining smell) that also gets on your hands when you hold the ball in your hands. Pooh. My wife has a Rubz massage ball with flatter ribs that doesn't have that smell and is obviously made of less harmful plastic. And no, the smell won't go away quickly if you air out.

Great for the feet! in Massage Balls

I read several reviews about this before purchasing and they were mixed. I bought it for $6 and was happy with my decision. I use it on my feet and usually just roll it around while watching TV or working at my desk. It's firm enough that it doesn't "flatten" with light pressure, if you press really hard it will, but I only press lightly for a great massage. I'm a tall person who plays sports so my feet often hurt and it really helps!

Wrinkles from too much pressure

This massage ball doesn't quite hold up to the pressure when rolled under the foot. When you put your foot on it (you don't even have to step on it), it sort of collapses in on itself until you almost completely release the pressure. When trying to roll this under my foot I want to be able to apply as much pressure as I want. Using this with your hand on a large muscle will work better. If you want to use that underfoot, be careful. I would recommend a lacrosse ball if you want something moreโ€ฆ
