Blocks data but does not load well.

Claims Smart Charging compatible but does NOT charge the device fast enough to avoid draining power. My phone battery went from 40% full in 1 hour 40 minutes to 39% in 4.5 hours and fully charged in a few minutes. In my opinion this product and this brand is not worth it.

Mine didn't charge Apple devices

I must have gotten some unexploded items or something because I didn't charge my iPhone with it using a USB-C to Lightning cable or my MacBook (slow ) can charge ) with a USB-C to MagSafe cable. I've also tried several different USB-A ports. The USB-C side was very loose. I wonder if that was a problem. Update: I received a second replacement pair. They didn't work either. Too bad because all my other PortaPow data blockers work great.

Pros
  • USB cable
Cons
  • No automatic

Works well, not recommended for 5w power adapters

I use this with my iPhone XR and USB-C/Lightning cable. I like that I can see that the data lines are missing and therefore no data can be transferred. It appears to be programmed to draw the maximum possible current until the voltage drops below a set limit. This can result in an attempt to draw significantly more power than the outlet is designed for. In particular, I wouldn't recommend using this with a 5W power adapter. It's 1A and when I tried it with the Apple 5W adapter it drew 1.5A…

Pros
  • Computers and accessories
Cons
  • Ugly packaging
