My son sucks on his hands which makes him vomit and his hands hurt and ache. Mittens prevent both scenarios. He has to wear them for most of his waking hours. The hands stay dry and healthy. It's a little difficult to get your hands in the hole.

I love mittens, they do their job very well, keeping me awake while I sleep. I have bad night terrors but work very well, only the front half of the mittens have padding which works really well and keeps you from holding on to anything but not so good for the outer half due to work.

To be honest, these gloves can only be worn when the patient is sound asleep. and even then, they can still twist their arms off the ground.
