Facilitates the installation of LED lights

You save time. They make it easier to install smaller stranded wires (like those used in LED lights). It takes some time to figure out how to use them, but once you get the hang of it. Wow, they really save time.

Pros
  • An absolute legend
Cons
  • Little things

Tight Fit for 10 Gauge Wire

To use these with 10 gauge wire you will need to take a pair of pliers and crimp the wire a little in order for these connectors to fit 10 gauge wire properly. But once installed they work fine. I would also put some lube in the hole where the light wire goes in to keep water out, although I don't know how long the lube will keep water out.

  • Great Price

Works well for our new landscape lights with 12 gauge wire

Works well for our landscape lights with 12 gauge stranded wire from the power supply. Note that the wires to each light should be much smaller (e.g. 16-18 gauge) and twisted to fit the small end. I filled the connector with dielectric grease to protect it from corrosion. The only downside was that the plugs were half the price of the lamps themselves.

Pros
  • GOLS certified
Cons
  • Negative impression

Ideal Product: Electrical

This is an ideal product for mains connection. I have 10 gauge wire that I use for low voltage landscape lighting. It was just able to accommodate that wire with a little shaving of the case. However, I was very good at running a few T-lines off the main line. I use different connectors for connecting individual lights and this one is for the main power rails coming from the transformer. Love the product and just wish they were a size up.

Very durable connectors that are easy to use.

If you've used (and maybe hated) the low-voltage connectors used by Malibu (a few years ago), you'll find it's a dream come true. Very positive and reliable. I'm buying another set of 10 so I can redo all my outdoor low voltage wiring. I'm just not sure I see that they should be as expensive as they are. Oh, well, I suppose you'd price them as high as you could and still sell them. And like I said, I'd love to come back. So.

Excellent connectors for low voltage lamps

These connectors are very easy to use and provide a reliable connection every time. I had so many problems with my old connectors that I started soldering the tie wires to the main power wire. Then I found them and will use them from now on. The only problem is that when you search for Revain for Low Voltage Connectors they don't show up in the product listing. They cost less than half the cost of identical items and I would not have found them without reading one of the reviews for similar…

Works as described but only with small gauge wires

This is by far the best wire connector available if your wires are 12 gauge or smaller. I have 10 gauge main wires coming from the power supply and 18 gauge wires going to the individual lights. I have a few smaller 12 gauge loops running off a 10 gauge main line. The 10 gauge shielded wires are too thick to fit in the socket, so I had to cut the outer sheath of the wires to get them into the socket. 12 gauge shielded wires are fine, but only if you angle them properly as the case is thicker on

The best connectors I've found.

I'm not a professional landscaper but I'm the guy next door who lights up the whole block with his low voltage lights. I've tried many connectors over the years and these are by far the best. They take a little longer than the Malibu connectors you can get from HomeDepot, but they're much better - worth the extra time. I would NOT recommend these for 10 gauge wire as I could hardly fit a 12 gauge wire in the slot provided. I'm guessing it depends on the insulation surrounding the wire, but my…
