🪑 Jamestown Landing Bench by Powell Review

Nice vanity bench but the color is different from the description. The material is indeed taupe/gold ore. I would have preferred it to be a cream as described but lovely nonetheless.

Looks very rich and expensive. Elegant. Continuous. I am a plus size girl and it is very comfortable and stable. Nice. Use it as a dressing table in the bedroom with a vintage desk. Works great, highly recommended.

Elegant and durable. Sits a little higher than a standard vanity, but I still like sitting higher. Wider seat. Goes great with the dressing table. Beautiful wood look. You would easily pay a lot more at a furniture store, but here at Amazon you have the luxury of choice. I would buy again.

This was my second bench and it fit without any problems. The legs fit perfectly, there were no defects, assembly was easy. It remains to screw the legs. The seat is well padded and has a light champagne gold color as shown in the picture. I still think it's a bit overpriced, but overall a great cool bench.

I really like the bench. I just wish it was in patterned fabric though as the solid color looks a little bland next to the beautifully carved legs. If you want, you can of course change the fabric at any time. The color of the wood is very nice and goes well with my other wooden furniture. Seems pretty sturdy and it's on the tough side. but it's normal. I'm happy.

Update: Foam won't stay flat. It gets lumpy, I may need to add better foam. This is a nice bench but there were identical scuffs on each leg, hope the stain will fix it. It is not easy to screw in the legs as the holes are perfectly aligned. This also resulted in all legs being slightly uneven in relation to the bottom of the seat frame. The wood color is between different photos. I also had to pound in the leg sliders because they were uneven.

I was looking for a white bench that can be used in the bathroom. However, the ratings from the white benches were not very good. The biggest concern was collapse. Since I'm not 25 anymore, I didn't want to risk it. However, in search of white benches, Powell Jamestown's landing bank accidentally popped up. It's definitely NOT white. but its nice. The bench is beautiful and very durable. The legs were easy to assemble (a hex wrench was included) and the bench looks a lot more expensive than it actually costs. The shine on the wood is a little weaker than the photos if that is your concern. The fabric is gold in color as others have mentioned and the pillow doesn't compress much allowing the height to remain around 20 inches when seated on the bench.
