Great for bunny feet

My dog is almost 100# and she is a GSD/Chow mix. Unfortunately, their front legs are very different in size from their hind legs, which are called "bunny feet". They are very narrow. Therefore, typical socks twist and turn MORE than this type of sock. And yes, they do slip and pucker, but they fit a lot better than regular dog socks.

Pros
  • Lots of positive vibes
Cons
  • Nothing here

Socks don't stay in place

Tried them out for our 14 year old. an old dog, but every time he lay down and got up again, the toes on one or more paws were twisted so that the rubber handles did not face the ground. This made it even more slippery, so we switched the socks to a different manufacturer's version that could be tightened at the ankles to prevent twisting.

Pros
  • Slim design
Cons
  • Pretty ok

My poor old dog is so sensitive now that he doesn't like me.

Unfortunately they don't hold well on my dog and they tip over where the handle end is upside down. Otherwise they work if they are right. My poor old dog has gotten so touchy that now he doesn't like me correcting them. He warns me to leave his legs alone. He's 17. Too bad because now I have to have rugs all over the house as I don't have a carpet. Maybe they would work on another dog?

Fit snug but slip off easily

They are really expensive to not live up to their hype. We bought the right size and shape and they fit well when put on but they are slow to slip off the dog (who doesn't mind wearing them but doesn't like us putting them on him or putting them back). on feet if they slip), so we consider this a failure and will return them. The whole reason we bought them is because they need to hold up well.

Pros
  • Certified
Cons
  • Questionable buy for seniors

Must have for older dogs!

These socks decide everything. On slippery floors my old dog won't move for fear of slipping (slipping hurts in old age - when you're weaker and have arthritis). I put socks on his hind legs and it's like making him a few years younger ! He can tinker around at home! And she can easily get up in the middle of the night. I take my socks off for several hours every day. I wash them in cold water and line dry the socks. For longer wear, make sure that your dog's claws are trimmed!

Thank god for these socks!

This has been a blessing since my back injury and surgery. They look like hospital socks with a rubber coating on the bottom to help slide on slippery surfaces. Our boy managed to struggle with hardwood floors until he got better control of his hind legs. The clapper is a 60 lb Saluki and these socks were easy to put on and stay on 99% of the time. We gave them to his physio after he no longer needed them so every child could have some.

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • Safety

Dog Guard DM

Our furry baby (dog) was recently diagnosed with the dreaded diagnosis of DM and his hind legs have started dragging. As a result, his back nails have started to bleed and need to be protected. We have a set of boots for him, we tried them but he cannot wear them due to lack of coordination due to illness. So we tried these socks. They work like magic! So far they have protected his legs perfectly. The downside is that I don't think they are designed for outdoor use, so they wear out quickly…

Pros
  • Great for a small home
