I had bunion surgery and wore heavy knee high boots for 4 weeks which were paid for by my health insurance. However, the big boot was too hot and made my right calf look smaller due to the restrictions. I got this little boot because I regained flexibility in my big toe. It is easy and quick to put on and take off. The Velcro ankle strap is quite long but there is a small piece of Velcro included that can be moved back and forth to double up the end and adjust the strap to suit your needs.
