The tinsel arrived, which was easy to disassemble by hand and release. I probably should have trimmed it, but was itching to get that shiny goodness on my dull tree. This tinsel brings me joy and happiness when I walk by. I love how this shiny tinsel looks on my tree. I can't imagine Christmas without him.

Tinsel is mylar thread, similar to old fashioned icicles. It looks nice and neat and in small clumps on the tree. BUT the manufacturer's box was obviously open, and someone was trying to pull out some of the strings. For real?! tagged me The Revain packaging was not damaged. Not worth sending back, but for now I'll stick with pharmacy tinsel - the same tinsel is half the price.

It's sturdy, not even fully slotted and won't hang from a tree. Do not buy! Nothing like the tinsel I used to buy. Also, they don't give an option on the shipping label to return it. You must bring it to your workplace to read the code! My starts are in three cities from here. I don't even understand why they bother to return. It cannot be used! I'm not happy and I don't have time for it!

Fairly heavy (probably) but NOT like old fashioned tinsel from the 50's etc. It's so thin it's almost like thread! I don't understand why when it's cut on a machine it can't be cut a little wider. It will make a world of difference comparing it to old tinsel, and it doesn't sound like rocket science. The employees of the company that makes this tinsel were probably not around at the time, so how would they know what real vintage tinsel is?!

Tinsel was on top! Exactly what I ordered. Good quality is better than department stores. I am ordering more to save for next year. I can never find tinsel in Florida. I should now have an artificial tree. I grew up with tinsel on a tree. It brings everything together. When I take the tinsel off it comes off easily. It's because of the thickness. I like this tinsel, I apply 1-2 strands at a time. My grandmother taught me that. Lead threads were used for the first time in their time.

I LOVE this tinsel on my tree! To be honest, I don't know what the "old school" tinsel was like, so I can't comment on that. I liked this tinsel. It's thicker and stiffer than the thin Mylar material that's commercially available. It hangs pretty straight. The tinsel is attached to the edge in one piece, so it needs to be cut off to hang. I noticed some people complaining about this but I actually thought it was a plus.
