The scissors themselves work very well. My only complaint is that the holes are too small for my fingers. I can barely put my fingers in it and it's quite uncomfortable. I might have slightly above average fingers, but certainly not very big. I've been using them for a month now, I'm left handed and find these scissors very comfortable and a good weight. Aesthetically they look great, the case feels nice and not flimsy. I travel a lot and appreciate the thicker case. I found that they are sharp and don't pull at all when cutting. Let me tell you about these scissors. They are. Cut. Hair. The bag is good. Brass hardware adds a nice aesthetic touch. The hinges have removable inserts. It's way better than the giant version of the murder weapon grandma always had. You know, an all-steel version that we hand-forged from two short swords. They're also way better than those green and pink plastic elementary school swords that somehow didn't cut through paper or flesh. or anything. Result. Those carved things.
