I bought this for my dad as he wanted to use the projector and screen as his new TV and also wanted to keep the cords away from the baby. This cable is long enough to go up the wall, across the ceiling, and down the opposite side of each wall. Have been using it for a month now with no problems.

I'm no rocket scientist, but if you plug one end into your TV's ARC HDMI input and the other end into the receiver's ARC output, you'll get a crackling sound clay and white. Video with snow, it means the cable does not support Audio Return Channel. The product name clearly indicates audio and Ethernet return. That is not true. Will return.

HDMI encoding doesn't really care about cable quality, as long as your device is receiving a signal you won't lose picture quality. So unlike our old coax cables, we don't have to worry about whether the wires are "gold plated" or any of the other gimmicks that companies like Monster are trying to sell you to entice you into buying their more expensive products. I bought this 40" HDMI to replace a 30" HDMI and it is not working. The picture quality is good, but the sound cuts out every 2-3 minutes. I connected this cable from my TV to my AVR which drives my home theater speakers. When I switched back to my 30ft cable, which is much thicker, the problem went away. Works great if you just want to hook it up to something and then leave it there for as long as you can get it where you want it or you can glue or tape it. I'm in a new location a few times a week and after each presentation I need a cable to run and pull up. This cable has a plastic jacket that is so stiff and inflexible that it is unsuitable for my purposes.
