I liked the colors and it was perfect for our use. My only problem was that it was impossible to find ends on about halfway through the spools. I cut some random thread that sometimes worked and sometimes rendered the spool useless. As already mentioned, the coils are very small.

I made a sewing kit for my niece for Christmas and it included lots of thread colors as well as threaders and needles, folding scissors, a pin cushion and pins and cute buttons. I kept the double colors to myself. The threads are good but I will not use them on a sewing machine as they break easily and there are few of them on the spool. They are good for small jobs if treated with beeswax before use.

When I ordered this set it was for carving. I had to replace the small rolls that came with my sewing kit 35 years ago (yes, I still used them - or at least what was left). I was very pleasantly surprised when I received my package. The spools are much larger than I expected. Colors range from muted pastels to bright jewels. Thread quality isn't the best, but not for large projects either. Very very happy with this purchase and two thumbs up!
