A good product. in transmission and transmission

Sensor works great. I had an issue with an oil pressure gauge going over 80psi when accelerating. 2001 Tahoe 5.3L. The switch is really broken. This new switch solved the problem. A bit difficult to get to the rear of the engine. However, it only lasted about 25 minutes. A good product.

Pros
  • Slim design
Cons
  • Requires outlet

The oil pressure sensor has failed. Do Not Buy

After a lot of work replacing the knock sensors I decided to change the oil pressure sensor as well. A few hours later when done as soon as the ignition key was on, the oil pressure gauge. He's been stuck there ever since. Don't waste money on it. Genuine Delco AC current sensor for $40.

Good Product: Replacement Parts

Ordered for my 2002 Silverado with 4.8L Vortec V8 LS engine. The oil pressure gauge was jerking the same way it did on my father-in-law's 2006 Tahoe with the 5.3 engine. Arrived late due to the COVID-19 pandemic. When it arrived and my mechanic replaced it, it stopped jerking and the oil pressure started reading properly. Despite other reviews, it worked well for me.

Pros
  • Automotive
Cons
  • Can't remember

I bought it for $19.99. Auto parts stores in my area charged $41 to $51 for it. - He fixed the oil leak but he shows 40 pounds almost all the time. When it moves the sensor, it moves in quick jerks. Maybe he just needs a break. I am satisfied enough with the product to recommend it to friends and family.

Pros
  • Gears and parts
Cons
  • Some little things

Buy Genuine Sensor

My Trans-Am sensor was leaking and making noise when replacing it. I fixed the leak problem but the noise is still there just like the old one so I have to wait about a minute or so. Every time I start the engine the noise goes away. If you own a 1999 Trans-Am, you should know how painful it is to change the oil pressure regulator in these cars. If you have to pay a mechanic to do it, it will cost you a lot of money. My advice: do not buy this sensor.

Pros
  • Replacement Parts
Cons
  • High Price
