So far so good. This thing has a 6 foot cord, not 6 inches, and the button does exactly what I expected. It has an air compressor hooked up, and sometimes when I absentmindedly push the button, the compressor doesn't turn on at full power, but I think it's my compressor. The main downside is that it plugs directly into the wall, making it difficult to use other ports. However, this is a small price to pay for being able to press a button and turn off the power to my compressor.

Bought to control two lamps at the same time. The device works and is generally convenient, but I wasn't aware that the 4-plug box actually plugs into an outlet - I thought it had an extension cord that plugged into the outlet, so the device could plug into that the devices are connected to be "hidden" is out of sight. Worked great for my application. I have two monitors and speakers hooked up to it and the switch is on my desk so I can press the button and walk away.
