Espresso is delicious

Purchased when my large espresso machine was being repaired and I was tempted to put the 'real' machine away and just use it. Very good espresso, although its small base requires special attention to my gas burner. I use a cast iron stand so it doesn't tip over the burner. If I balance it properly, it doesn't tip over, but the handle starts to melt!

Pros
  • Easy to use; add water and ground coffee beans; Stovetop Burner Seat
Cons
  • Exterior

Great little pots for coffee, tea and espresso

This is a large pot for making 2 cups of cappuccino or 3 espressos. I like to drink a large espresso or cappuccino and this is just the thing. It will last for years and at this price it is definitely worth it. I use my own coffee and just grind it for this machine so I can save money and make a decaffeinated espresso to enjoy at night. That's a great little pot.

Pros
  • Stovetop espresso maker; Make espresso like in Europe
Cons
  • Expandable

Everything will be fine. Don't walk away from it

It does what it's supposed to do as long as you're careful. It's very small so you have to be careful. Be careful how you place this on the burner. As long as you place that offset so that the handle isn't over the flame, you should be fine. Don't walk away from it, it only takes a minute or two on the burner anyway. The lid is too tight and requires two hands to open, making it difficult to check its movement.

Pros
  • Make quality espresso without the hassle and expense of an electric espresso machine
Cons
  • Gets angry

I am not sure if I would buy it again.

So far so good, but not great. Works, drips when pouring, but so does my old one. I think it's in the nature of the animal. Grind coarsely according to the instructions. But do you use a fine grind for espresso? Now I'm confused. I wish I could see when it's "cooked" as I can't finish hearing it like I can hear my old Italian 1 cup (and the old one had a "window" on top too). This new one hasn't made an espresso that good yet, but it may need more use first (I've used it 6 or 8 times and…
