This is a fun dress with bright colors. Overall it's very cute, although my criticisms are that it's a bit pricey at $26 and it's very heavy material. I can't imagine them aiming for any kind of realism, so making it that difficult for a kid doesn't make much sense to me. Still cute and funny.

My girls loved Merida in Brave and if we had gotten this a few years sooner my 13 year old would wear it all the time. Anyway my 8 year old daughter put it on as soon as we got it and except during lunch and bedtime she didn't take it off (she didn't want to eat). The 8 year old is very petite so she will be perfect for younger girls. It seems pretty sturdy and well made and should hold up to a lot of games.

My four year old recently discovered Brave and became obsessed with it. This Merida dress up costume was an instant hit. I've been thinking about what size to go for her as she's a 4T in most cases. I chose the 5T thinking it would be a bit big for them. 5T fits perfectly. So I'd suggest giving this a rating, especially if you're hoping to get more out of it than playing for a few months.
