Type of review

I kept adding refrigerant because I couldn't get the gauge I wanted! After adding a second can of refrigerant and disconnecting it from the car, I found that the AC was blowing warm air! I plugged it back in to test and found that the sensor is now showing an overflowing red zone! I was forced to probably empty all 2 bottles so the sensor readings were in the zone I was shooting in in the first place! Talk about $30 down the drain! I may have bought a faulty sensor!

Pros
  • One year trial
Cons
  • Available in white only

DON'T BELIEVE IT! DANGEROUS and unreliable

The unit I received has a defective sensor. It's impossible to know unless you have another to compare. Relying on this piece of junk has caused me to damage my Lexus air conditioner and now I have to pay hundreds or thousands of dollars for repairs. AVOID THIS SIGN. Following the instructions down to the last detail, I pulled the trigger in short bursts and twisted the gas cylinder. Every time I released the trigger, the dial would jump to almost 50 and then back to 40. Since it was reading 40

Pros
  • High marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • Not as thick as other picks

Variable pressure gauge, unreliable

I checked the pressure last night and it was just under 30psi. I was given a can of R134a to refill and the next morning before I hooked up the can I decided to check the pressure again. This time the pressure was only about 40psi, a jump of 10psi in 14 hours. Disconnected/reconnected again and the pressure again showed about 30psi. Not sure, decided to squeeze a little R134 but it wouldn't release the freon from the self sealing can. After some struggling, the canister was hooked and now…

Pros
  • Great price
Cons
  • Big and bulky
