🎶 Pro-Ject X1 Turntable: Embrace the Elegance in White Review

This turntable may get rave reviews, but when you switch to a better cartridge, be careful. The tonearm wires are very thin and flimsy, like threads. The cartridge provided by Project is called Sumiko Olympia. It has good reviews but I wanted to upgrade to Ortofon 2M Blue. Unfortunately, I've never gone that far. The Pro-ject X1 is beautiful both visually and sonically. I have never heard such dynamics from my speaker before this turntable heard. This is my first turntable and the installation was easy. The instructions are a bit unclear but watch a youtube video or two and you'll be set. Seller is great. How: The turntable's speed change control was a nice touch. No more pulleys between 33 and 45 rpm. A flat drive belt is used at these speeds. To play 78s you need to swap out the belt for a round one and use the bottom motor pulley. Setup was straightforward and much easier than my previous Project turntable.
