Really Works: Wellness & Relaxation

Using this device to apply ice to numb the area for 3 minutes is actually much more effective than applying ice to an injury for 15 minutes. The problem is that people are lazy and want to watch TV during the freeze, but then you have to use the big blue ice pad and numb the whole body, not the injured area. You have to read the manual to use this effectively, but it works well for my son who has sore knees from volleyball. You need a towel to soak up the melting ice cream. It's dirty. 5 stars…

Pros
  • Rapid deep tissue penetration with a focus on targeted areas
Cons
  • Wrinkled Pack

Pros
  • Effective therapy for ligament, tendon and muscle injuries
Cons
  • Fading

I bought this to freeze my shins after ballet class. Pros: - Suitable for glazing anywhere you don't have access to a freezer that can store a pack of gel for a couple of hours during a workout. - An ice pack can do that too, but I find that ice packs (I don't mean gel packs) don't flex to conform to your body. You might rub the ice pack when rubbing this thing, but it's pretty clumsy in practice. You'll need a lot of volume to insulate the ice pack - probably more than the size of this thing…

Pros
  • Effective treatments in 5-10 minutes. around 20 min. for passive ice packs
Cons
  • So far so good
