The boots were great overall. There were some pretty decent scrapes on the right boot.

Excellent boots overall. There were some pretty decent scrapes on the right boot. It wasn't a desperate look, but real cuts on the skin. I could easily send them back but we need them now and they are for our daughter to break in. So you will beat yourself. Just big bucks for scratches on the skin of brand new boots.

Great boots overall but mine had scuffs and scratches

These boots are exactly what my daughter wanted! My only issue (ie 4 stars) is that they came with frayed toes on both boots which I managed to rub off with some effort, but one pair even had a physical scratch on the leather at the toe. She was about 1/2 inch long! I kept them because it was just before Christmas and it was one of their big gifts. she loves them! I was only expecting a new, unworn and scratched pair for the price.

She will be hiking in the mountains in sportswear with double socks

Bought half a size larger for you now, next year will be a great year, wish they had more porridge for the push, kinda nice open , but cold or unsteady when jumping into a puddle or stomping, the total is a little flimsy but nicely done. Not a lot of camber or padding, but still exquisitely finished with a quality design. the sole is rubbery and flexes, has a good tread, all you need is thick socks and a size three to get the small half and we get there. Sister, mom and I are generally happy…
