🔬 Optimized STEMware Rack with Acrylic Design by Prodyne Review

Purchased November 2018 for $4.42. It will NOT fit my 3 1/2 inch base red wine glasses. I use it for other glasses like champagne and white. Wine. DIFFERENT sized slots. My bases are 3 3/8" that fit both right and left. The average is 3 1/4" and doesn't fit.

This shelf holds six of our large red wine glasses. Our counter is slightly curved in the middle, which causes wine glasses that are halfway up the counter to slip and fall on the counter several times. Not sure if we only have one lemon or all racks are like that. If you want to keep your glasses safe and sound, I would recommend spending a little more and getting a better quality product.

I bought several of these to create under counter storage for glasses in my kitchen. They are easy to install and work great. I will immediately warn you that acrylic is very fragile. If you twist them a little or push them, they will break. If you don't insert the set screws at the perfect 90 degree angle, they will break. Don't let this discourage you from buying. Just remember that you must make the installation perfect, otherwise you can easily damage it.

So call me stupid, but I had no idea that "acrylic" was just code for "cheap plastic" - and that's what it is: cheap Plastic. I had to be extra careful not to break the plastic when screwing it in, and despite my best efforts it was still breaking after a year of use. Only one corner broke off, so my glasses were just *almost* smashed. I used velvet gloves to pull them off as they hung awkwardly and dared to break the other corner as well. Then again, it was less than $10, so I can't complain…

Durable and slimmer than alternatives. We have had an identical product installed in our kitchen for 30 years. We're finally tired of storing wine glasses in ordinary cupboards; I was happy to find the same make and model in stock. The new one was installed in a few minutes, pressed against its colleague and now it's being used. I would suggest the frame have a little lip at the end of each rail to keep the goggles from slipping out in an earthquake (we live a few miles from the San Andreas…
