The holy grail for thick long hair for updos. I have bought at least 50 different jaw clips over the years. I wear updos every day. My hair is close to my waist and pretty thick. I have had the hardest find time finding a clip that will actually fit all my hair and hold it tightly into a poofy French twist. This one does the job. I was seeking something to hold note pads of varying sizes, from a full sized spiral notebook and legal pads, down to a more standard note paper-sized pad. I did not want a full-sized file rack because they take up a lot more space. This works well in the sense that it's small and stores the pads upright, taking up less space on the desk. Ollie the Octopus is my dog's favorite toy. She destroys it within the day, but her pure enjoyment when she gets this toy is worth it. She loves the texture and the crinkle noise the legs make. It took me about 5 minutes to catch on to how to assemble the book case; once I did it all came together in 1/2 an hour - and I had no problem doing the assembly alone.
