This item is poorly constructed. A sophisticated lever system provides a mechanical advantage, but the advantage is least where you touch the can.

This thing is a waste of time. Insert the glass, squeeze the lever, and the glass flies forward with force. After that, the banks don't crunch either. Do not buy. Spend a little (or a lot) more for quality.

This crusher was exactly what we wanted as a replacement for our 10 year old (handle broken). Bought a crusher from another seller who claimed to hold 10 cans previously. separate. What they didn't say was that everything was plastic and required assembly. This is all metal and the only assembly required is to screw it to the wall.

This product is good value so it's certainly not high quality. However, if you take your time, push in one side of the jar first and hold it, you should be able to crush the jars easily and have no problems. I had no issues with them firing, not being crushed or anything like that. Plenty of mounting holes with screws provided and suitable for tall and short glasses.

Works great! The only reason it's 4 and not 5 stars is that sometimes the glass gets stuck after being crushed and now that the glass is sharp I have to pry it out with a screwdriver. I think a little design tweak to the sides could fix this. Following the advice of some other reviewers, I wrapped duct tape around the foam pad on the handle so it wouldn't break during use. Overall it was a good purchase and I'm working with a few quirks.

Despite some previous poor reviews, I chose this particular can crusher because I had a placement issue and needed a handle that length. After running it empty a few times I found it a bit stiff so I took the trouble to lubricate it, lubricating both the moving joints and, importantly, the guides on the sides. Now it runs very quietly and crushes cans with minimal effort, which is clearly not enough to challenge its design. I see no reason why it won't last long.

Subtract 1 star for quality and 2 stars for durability. The main components of this crusher are solid (base, piston, arm). However, the pivots, mainly those connecting the tappet to the lever, are inadequate and very weak. The stylus still holds the pad, allowing the device to do its job. It seems like it will break the next time I crush the glass. Can't say I was surprised, 25 other reviews warned against it. but I really haven't seen anything better. It looks like he'll be dumped in recycled…
