No instructions. Garbage

Can't get it to work properly. I put a memory card in the camera. I plug the cable into the computer to download and NOTHING. There were no instructions with the product, so it is unused! Garbage.

Upgraded from 3 stars to 5

I bought one of these a few months ago. On the plus side, installing it on a Windows XP system was really easy: just plug it into a USB port. With an SD card inserted it behaved just like any other drive and could read and write to SDHC cards which my old reader couldn't handle. It was much faster than downloading images from a camera through a cable. I was able to delete files from the card faster and more specifically with Windows than with the camera. Cons: It mysteriously shut down after a…

Works well = tolerates abuse

I'm a professional speaker - fly more than 100,000 miles a year - should be prepared to import images from various cameras that viewers or sponsors have. I travel with SD readers and Compact Flash Promaster. . . They've been in my computer bag for over 2 years - sometimes I use them weekly - sometimes not for a month - never had any problems - don't want to jinx them by saying they're indestructible but I'm very happy with both of them.

Pros
  • Compatible with PC and MAC.
Cons
  • I won't say anything

So far so good in memory card accessories

I just bought this item today and I hope I don't have to change my mind but so far this card reader is doing exactly what it's supposed to. I connected it to my computer, inserted the card and it immediately recognized the device. It was incredibly easy and quick. I'm curious how fast it copies when importing longer video clips or RAW files, but so far I'm happy! Great price too.

Pros
  • Easy to use. Drag and drop files between your memory card and your computer.
Cons
  • Not the best
