Galway Shoe for Men in Black from Propet Review

No comfortable shoes. It had a very short flap in the middle which made it uncomfortable. Not an attractive shoe, but it's good stuff.

I've been buying these shoes for over 10 years and I love everything about them. til today. They change the sole to a very hard rubber and now they hurt my feet and don't flex well at all.

We spent over a year trying to find comfortable and well-fitting shoes for my brother-in-law. We tried a few and sent them back. It is very difficult to assemble. These shoes are perfect in every way. We are very happy.

My husband has been wearing these shoes for many years and so far they have always been perfect. Unfortunately the quality has gone down a lot. Now they generate static electricity when he walks, and every time he touches something he gets a shock. Very disappointed.

I love these shoes. I've worn these shoes for years and thought I would never buy anything else again. Propet Galway is cheaper and more convenient. I'm 62, so I'm not pushing it. I've had them for a week. They are lighter than the shoes I have worn. Great shoes at a great price.

Nice classic look. Fits well - easy on and off without bending down - a big plus at my age. The price was great. Apparently not so much for my size.

The item arrived quickly but unfortunately when I tried it on it was definitely too wide and the heel didn't last as it was bigger than an A. Tight shoes aren't hard to find in any store, so I had to resort to online orders. Unfortunately, trying on shoes costs me the return shipping.

Don't buy Proper, they change the inner padding so your socks now ride up to your toes. The only way to fix this is to buy inserts to keep your socks from riding forward. Never.

My husband has bought this shoe twice. He wore them to work. They were perfect the first time. And last forever. The second time only lasted 2 days. He just wore them for 2 days last week. And on the 2nd day it broke! I think something is wrong! Manufacturing defect! And I think that's the last time he buys them!

The shoes are really wide. I'm so used to ordering 1/2 or 2 sizes up to fit and I don't have to. When they wear out I will order again, just in a smaller size.

They are great shoes but when I ordered these shoes the same size as before they were too small and not long enough. I don't know why so I will try to order a larger size if available.

This shoe is true to size and comfortable for long walks. It glides fairly well without flexing and is lightweight. I can say they won't last long as the sole is soft and wears out pretty quickly. However, for the advertised price, they're a good deal.

I've had previous "black shoes" for a long time and they were starting to have "sole" problems. (and on 1 boot the sole came off - I glued it on - it worked - but it's time to replace it!) Done!

Wow, nice to find a company that helps us people with big feet (4e). These shoes are comfortable even if my feet are swollen from being on my feet all day at work. The best part is that there is no break in the period. Straight out of the box these were great shoes.

I've been buying the same shoes for a few years. I've always liked the cut, style and color. I think this time Propet changed the way shoes are made. The arch has less support and the insole is not as soft. I feel like I'm walking on solid ground right now and I had to make a few bets. The shoes are wider and lower on all sides. I feel like I'm swimming in them. With my liners they now fit. But I'd rather buy something that fits best the first time.

I'm afraid this product is a 'fake': it looks like the Galway I bought before. Poor workmanship, the insole in this new shoe is not the same or similar. Ortholite sole is cheap so I will buy another shoe maybe Mephisto which is damn expensive. I'll see if they have a way to replace worn out soles. There is no prophet. The upper of my old boots stays like new and the amazing sole is non-replaceable which is a benefit of this brand and also the reason I don't buy another pair. Thought about…

I'm incredibly loyal to this shoe. I think this is the fourth time I've bought these and they're the only shoes I've worn for almost ten years. I usually get a good 2 years from each pair, and in snowy, rainy New England, that's a good time. These Propet shoes may not be very stylish but they save me from working on my feet all day! I'm a tall man, I have some leg problems and standing for too long can be very painful. The shoe offers excellent support, fits easily with insoles and is available in extra wide sizes for people with wide feet. They are very comfortable and roomy! I just wish they were styled a little better.
