Reliable product. good for me

Very easy to work with cut perfectly and very smooth, I have read some other reviews in which the writers were not happy because it was to thin. However, the material is meant to stop anything, such as a rock or root, from coming up from the bottom under the pool's liner and punching a hole in the pool's fool, for this the type of material and size is perfect. It is not meant to be a cushion and it does appear thin; because, it is thin; however, it is not the thickness but rather, the material…

Pros
  • Very good quality. I installed it on a 20 ft pool ,Works awesome!
Cons
  • It is not a pad at all it's a thick oval weed barrier. I thought there would be cushion ...

Works as expected!: my feedback

We put this under our 11,000 gallon above ground pool. We dug down 3 inches and had masonry sand poured and leveled. We then put down the rhino pad. We read other reviews stating how thin it is so we were not disappointed by the thickness of the product. The pool bottom is very soft and comfortable. I would definitely recommend.

Pros
  • It adds an extra layer of cushioning between your pool and the ground, making it more comfortable for swimmers to enjoy
Cons
  • May not be covered under warranty for all types of damage

Buyer Beware best in my review

Received a generic white box with a Rhino Pad sticker on it. The pad was black and incredibly thin, barely thicker than weed blocker, maybe 1/16th inch in thickness at very best. When speaking with the company rep they explained that I received "Armor Shield” but it’s a better product and I’d be happy with it. When I asked how 1/2 the thickness is better and why it’s in a Rhino Pad box I was put on hold. She came back and told me it’s "as good as” Rhino Pad. These folks are selling an inferior…

Pros
  • Pool
Cons
  • Can be difficult to cut to size

Fit wonderfully for my opinion

The rhino pad (heavy duty felt pad) fit perfectly for our 18x33 above ground pool. It’s very durable and easy for installation for someone who is installing theirselves.

Pros
  • As afvertised
Cons
  • 2 weeks later weeds busted through new liner.

Nice quality pad in my review

Easy to fold out and thicker so not much stretching to keep flat under pool. We bought white one last year (different brand ) not this quality.

Pros
  • Perfect for our pool
Cons
  • Not as thick as I expected, very flimsy. Hard to keep in place while trying to put it under the pool.

I had grass growing through it. Don't buy

I put this down with a tarp under it and it still aloud the grass to grow through it. I have 3 patches and 2 more to go. This is a brand new pool. The cost of this product is not worth the money. Don't buy this.it's not worth the money.

Pros
  • Very nice pad
Cons
  • This thing is a joke. It's nothing but a large thin piece of felt. NOT WORTH THE PRICE!!!

Easy, inexpensive pool liner

Great pad for under our intex 10’ round pool! Set it up on concrete and placed pool directly on top. It didn’t move, dried quickly, and though it doesn’t seem thick, it definitely cushioned the thin pool floor.

Pros
  • The is well worth every penny to save your pool liners!
Cons
  • May not stay in place during heavy use

Just as expected. for my opinion

Picture didn't match product. I had looked up Rhino pad already so knew it was black in color. Laid it out over some rubber pads put up the pool on it and went swimming the second day.

Pros
  • Great insurance against punctures. I recommend this pad if your setting up a pool
Cons
  • It is like felt. Not worth the money! Could have gone to the fabric store and got felt and made my own

Should be named TISSUE PAPER!

This is basically no more than a cheap piece of felt. I can't see how this would help protect against anything. The quality does not even come close to the cost. If I'd seen and touched this in person I would laughed and walked away. This shouldn't have cost no more than $10.

Pros
  • No
Cons
  • May not be suitable for all climates and weather conditions

Not as thick as one might think

I liked the concept. Just installed for first time. Have heard good things about effectiveness. We will see. Arrived as ordered. Perfect fit. Good quality

Pros
  • The pad helps prevent leaks and reduces evaporation, which can save you money on water bills and pool chemicals
Cons
  • May require additional adhesive or tape to stay in place

Just what I needed for my pool.

Great so far. Perfect for my 20 foot above ground pool. I used it as a ground cloth to protect the pool from the sand under. That's my feedback.

Pros
  • The pad is designed to be both practical and aesthetically pleasing, with a neutral color that complements any pool décor or landscaping
Cons
  • May not cover the entire pool floor area

Paper thin: my feedback

I guess I was expecting this to be thicker… but it’s not. I was not impressed with it, but we used it for a short time before we took the pool down for some home renovations… but I probably won’t use it when we put the pool back up… I’ll look for something better…

Pros
  • The liner pad is highly resistant to damage from punctures, tears, and abrasion, safeguarding your pool against common sources of wear and tear
Cons
  • May not be compatible with certain pool filters or pumps

Rhino Pad Implies Tough and Durable

I have to be honest. I thought it would be thicker and tougher, like a Rhino, but it feels like felt. Eco in the description was a hint. I can’t say if it’s a durable pool pad until I get a year of use under my belt. So my pool is 12x24, I got 12x20. I couldn’t justify the higher cost for the next size and then trimming it. I’ll give it a chance. It only has to outperform a vinyl tarp.

Pros
  • Great product easy to lay down
Cons
  • Can be difficult to clean

Hope it performs as promised.

The pad went down very easily. Yes it is thin but we are willing to give it a try to prevent the grasses the grow under the pool from penetrating it as so many others have failed. So far so good.

Pros
  • Awesome product highly recommend it
Cons
  • May not be as comfortable underfoot as expected

Great just have lay out like they say before use

Works awesome make sure u lay it out like they tell you I did 24 hrs in the house with something on each corner then next day while outside working also laid in sun couple hours and it has been wonderful and not one issue with corners or raising at all.

Pros
  • Installation is easy, with no special tools or expertise required - simply lay the pad out and place your pool on top
Cons
  • Can be damaged by sharp objects or rough use
