I received this case for my older model MacBook Pro. The case it self had a nice touch and feel to it and felt sturdy, however, after normal use and while in my computer roller bag the case cracked from the bottom. Everything in this kit definitely worked for my 2010 MacBook Pro model A1286, but it might bother a perfectionist or someone with OCD. Product arrived as ordered and everything was neatly packaged. Perfect fit for my A1286 model. I ordered the deep purple and it appears exactly as photoed in many of the other reviews. Color is rich and bright. Apple logo shows through on the case (no cut-out). Texture of case is smooth velvet-like even though it is made of plastic. Port plugs fit snugly.
