Very effective in a car door

I use this 8" midbass in the back door of my 2000 Dodge Dakota with spacers and foam baffle. I had to cut a metal door to fit. Power seems good It's louder and cleaner than the 8" three-way Lanzar it replaced. It's powered by a single-channel HiFonics Vulcan with a 4-ohm load and 60Hz highs. I tend to associate punchy sound with professional sound or public speaking sound than with the musical sound you would expect from high quality sections with a sophisticated network of passive filters.

Pros
  • Nominal impedance: 4 ohms
Cons
  • Very expensive
