Thumb grips add material under the analog stick tips, while leather adds material to the controller area around them, impeding movement. The skin fits very well. You must be careful not to stretch it too much during installation. The thumb grips are pretty good too. Lots of options. They just don't work together.

Bought gray and green camouflage covers, one for my wife and one for me. She likes her style and looks, sits well since her hands are smaller than mine, and joystick tops come in handy, she says.
