💑 Pun Intended Games: Ideal Matches for Lovers Review

If you're smart, funny, and good with words (or just think you are), this game might be for you. Some of the puns were really complex but others were pretty simple - we let my 8 year old play with us and I was surprised at how much he could make out. We thought it would be a fun game, easy to understand and fast. After playing, I bought two expansion packs to give to friends who think they can play word games.

I chose economy shipping first and received it the next day, so that was a pleasant surprise. I heard about Pun Intended from a friend so I decided to try it with my family. It was quick and easy to set up and play, and easy for anyone to understand. I'm a teacher (middle and high school) and my students love to play this game! I play a word game on one of the cards and tell them the difficulty level (students LOVE levels 1-6!) and give them the first letter of the answer. The first card I drew, I read the sentences out loud so the girl I was hanging out with could fill in the blanks (the last word that makes the sentence a pun) . These were pretty clear puns, and they make me feel a little too elated as puns usually do. The following cards have been shuffled. Some of them were outright puns while others were real stretches, and her mom and I felt overwhelmed. I find the game fair enough. I don't like playing games so the fact that I not only gave this game 4 stars but also left a review should say something. I also usually hate puns because my brain hates pulling words out of thin air and it just doesn't work that way (CatchPhrase, I'm looking at you). This game was completely different for me. Surprisingly fast game that will have even experienced players wince, groan and flinch in this painfully good game. As an acknowledged user of puns and homophones ("In the beginning I didn't want to buy leather shoes, but I ended up buying suede shoes!” Group reaction: ARRRRRH!), this was a delightful gift.
