This wired cam also has an adjustable swivel angle to assist properly. LCD MONITOR SCREEN: This backup camera monitor system comes with 4.7" LCD display, dual(RCA) jacks and PAL/NTSC system. Can connect to other camera source with and has automatic power-on with reverse gear activation. MOUNTABLE: Both car backup camera and backup camera monitor are mountable. The car rear view camera can be mounted to license plate with its slim bar style housing. The monitor comes with a universal windshield mount holder for easy installation. WATERPROOF & NIGHT VISION: This backup camera for cars and other automotive vehicles is IP-67 marine grade waterproof to combat bad weather. It's also has a night vision ability. Kit includes wirings and a small wireless remote. Easy to install, great rear view

Although no instructions were included, anyone who can install fog lights or change a car battery can easily understand it. Very simple: black = ground, red = power, and be careful where you mount everything. It took me about 90 minutes from start to finish, but at the same time I was busy with other projects. I installed it on a Jeep Wrangler Unlimited and connected the power supply along with the video cable so the screen and camera get the same power supply. Wife put 2 fingers up!

I like it but what a hassle.

Now that it's installed I like it. It wasn't easy to install on my 2013 Ford Escape. I immediately decided I couldn't do it (I didn't want to break anything) so I took it to the store where I've been a customer for 30 years. They took 2 hours. It's $180.00. So my advice is this: double check the setup before you buy and know what you're getting yourself into. Also, the screen was broken - it wouldn't turn off - but the seller sent me a new package and I sent it back with a broken screen. Theโ€ฆ

works mainly in automotive and automotive electronics

when it works it works fine but for some reason after about a month i have to turn the monitor on and off multiple times to keep the monitor on regardless of which video input is used. The rest is good. I have to keep the video on because I need to see when people are about to overtake because it's used on single lane dirt roads and I can't see out the rear window. It's actually an off-road race and if you don't stop to let a faster car pass, people get really angry and that's not good. I usedโ€ฆ

easy setup, despite complaints from others.

Although people complained about poor connection instructions, overall I found the installation easy. Do not be discouraged. Folks, you hook up a backup camera to one of the backup lights on the back of your car. Common sense. You need to solder the connections. I also hardwired a red and black 12v cable (also found cheap on Amazon) from the monitor's power cord to the same reverse light instead of plugging the monitor into the accessory socket. I figured that since I have a separate carโ€ฆ

Excellent value for money and quality!

I love the Pyle name. So many rear cameras at this price point come from unknown companies that you will probably never find in a few years if there is a problem. Another feature that distinguishes this Pyle model is the field of view. So many cheaper cameras only have a field of view of around 110 degrees. It's a little more than a right angle. You bought a camera because you wanted to see behind your car; Why settle for half a review? This particular model also offers a green/amber/redโ€ฆ

Really useful camera

I really like this camera. It replaced an old wireless device that was worn out and has a much better picture than ever. It has a good clear wide-angle image in any daylight. Actually, I don't drive at night and I can't talk about it. My car doesn't have good rear vision and my neck doesn't turn the way it used to. By looking around, using the rearview mirror and this camera, I can return easily and safely. The wide view assures me that nothing unexpected lay in my path. I also sometimes findโ€ฆ

Resolution and visibility on the monitor are surprisingly good for such a cheap camera

Cheap reversing camera. Attaches to rear license plate. The instructions provided are very basic and may not be very helpful for those who are very inexperienced with the basics of vehicle wiring. However, the actual wiring is very simple. I connected the power supply to the positive pole of the reversing light and to ground. The supplied video cable is long enough for a medium-sized pickup. Depending on your application, you may need to purchase additional power and ground wires. Theโ€ฆ

Not a bad little gadget for the money

Not a bad little gadget for the money although I don't think I would pay full retail price. Cheap and cheerful, as the British say. As others have pointed out, the included installation instructions are useless and I couldn't find anything online. Below are some installation suggestions. They are for a 2007 Honda Civic. Not very difficult but there are some plans of where you want to mount the display and how to route the cables from the trunk to the dash. Total time about 2.5 hours. YMMV.1โ€ฆ
