Pyle PLCD5MRBTB Detachable Bluetooth Technology Review

This radio is listed as marine safe, but nowhere on the box or packaging is it indicated that it is marine safe. Don't get wet.

I like the stereo it has a good clear sound as does the remote control. It has Bluetooth functionality and while I can sync it with my phone, I can't fully sync it with my iPod nano. It syncs and some functions work, but I can't play the music through the Bluetooth setting. When I connect via the USB port, I can't select my playlist either.

I bought a Pyle radio for my Jeep after I had a Sony detachable face that was advertised as waterproof but clearly wasn't. I figured marine radio would help, and it worked for the first summer. However, now that it's cold I realize that the functionality doesn't work as well as it could, but at the end of the day it works and produces great sound. It has a lot of great features, but I wish there were other display features I could use, but that might just mean there's more to play with.

Well made device; the options and features seem endless; the wiring was clear and concise; The EQ has many settings and enough power, even on a top-down Wrangler (very important!); the front panel is a bit clunky, but you get used to it; The installation instructions are good, but the features are not that good. Registered the device and asked for instructions on how to bring the clock to the front. Still wait, the online manual is not the best for this function. The slip ring is fragile, so…

So far I like this stereo. Love that it's marine as it's a wrangler jeep that loves to get wet. Also, a detachable front panel is a must as the jeep doesn't take the top off all summer long. There are many functions and it takes a bit of getting used to as most buttons perform multiple functions depending on what mode you are in or even how long you are in. you hold her tight I like the detachable front panel, but it's a bit difficult to put on and take off and feels like it could break easily,
