Not intended for a tall person.

You get what you pay for. The stand is ok if you don't need to extend it fully. I'm 5'5" and need to extend the mic stand as much as possible, which involves keeping the gooseneck almost straight. To get close enough to the microphone. I didn't even notice what measurements were given in terms of allowable "before" extension, so I guess it's my fault. When fully extended, so little of the top remains in the bottom, that I'm afraid it will fall out if I don't move it very carefully. Perhaps the…

Efficient but not amazing

Gooseneck mic stands are good for obvious reasons, but the problem is often that the gooseneck just can't support heavy mics. I currently have a Shure sm7b which is both exceptionally bulky and heavy. The gooseneck mostly supports the microphone, but no sharp bends and gooseneck bends. With my NT1 that is hardly a problem. Also, the base stand is a bit light which makes it not the strongest stand, especially in combination with the heavy sm7b. Wobbly would be the adjective I would use to…

Maybe it's better to buy other than this one. UNIQUE GOOSENECK MOUNT

PROS - It was well packaged and easy to assemble. CONS - I should have read the reviews before buying - my fault. The base on the picture described is NOT what you will get. The rod screws into the base without a turnbuckle. And the base isn't heavy enough for professional use. The height of the microphone holder is only 5 feet.
