I take my lunch to work. I used to bring lunch in a plastic container, put it in a bowl and reheat it. Now I had to clean two bowls. I take this to work, heat it up on the spot and only have to clean one bowl. Remember that glass lips are quite fragile. Be sure to attach the plastic rim as soon as possible to protect the glass edges.

I've replaced almost all of my food storage containers with these Pyrex bowls. They come in a variety of sizes and I can reheat leftovers in the microwave without worrying about leaching dangerous, unhealthy plastic chemicals into my food. I can't live without these. The lids work well but I wouldn't put them sideways in my lunch bag or anything as I think the lids will leak a bit then.

We love using Pyrex around our house and after cleaning the plastic containers three times we decided to replace them entirely. a ton of food in them, remember it's only 4 cups. One thing I've learned over the years, never put lids in the microwave or dishwasher as they warp, dry out and crack very soon after. We simply use a paper towel in the microwave and hand wash the lids. So far, so good!
