Oven rust marks on the bottom

I thought Pyrex was for baking. I was baking in a long skillet at 350 degrees F for 40 minutes and saw rust marks on the bottom of the skillet.

Pros
  • Household and kitchen
Cons
  • No paint required

Set of 2 Clear Pyrex Jars

Although I own a few Pyrex Jars, I can never have too many. This set includes a rectangular baking pan and a square baking pan (the large 3 liter baking pan is 13 x 9 x 2 and the smaller 2 liter baking pan is 8 x 8 x 2). Ideal for macaroni, cheese and puddings.

Pros
  • Bakers & Casseroles
Cons
  • Almost Everything is Fine

Exploding in the oven

I've used them about a dozen times in the last year. They are no doubt easy to clean. I have always followed the storage and preparation instructions. But it finally happened. My 9x13 exploded in the oven! I was lucky that nothing was hurt and nobody got hurt. But I've been cleaning broken glass for at least an hour. I wouldn't recommend them - or only use them for cold food or storage.

Pros
  • kitchen and dining room
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.

Offers versatility

Really like this Pyrex set. The sizes offered were a deciding factor in this purchase. I find them a bit difficult to clean as residue is often left behind. Sometimes I have to wash it more than once and even after drying the residue is visible. I've actually held them in my hands so I'm not sure if that could make a difference, but overall it's still a good buy. I have to say I'm a little frustrated that I can't use it in broilers, but that's something I missed reading the product specs.

Pros
  • Satisfied so far
Cons
  • Has flaws

Seasoned with glass!

I was delighted with this baking. I first used a large one to make lasagna. The lasagna turned out great! I took the dish out of the oven as soon as it was done. While the dish sat on my counter to cool. I heard the sound of breaking glass. I thought someone threw a rock at my window, NO! It was broken dishes and the glass shattered everywhere, even on the hot, melting cheese of my lasagna. I had to quickly cut the lasagna and put it on plates. Unfortunately I had to fill in the cut piece to…

Pros
  • Useful not only for its intended purpose
Cons
  • Annoying
