I love this lapel pin so much. I took the dremel to the end to thin it out a bit so it would make a micron of a smaller hole in my material. Love it. It's innovative and trendy, creative and quite the talking point.

This raincoat pin is solidly built and looks exactly like the picture. This is a great rain jacket pin that pairs great with loose, dense winter, jersey and knit fabrics. It is not suitable for ordinary woven or thin fabrics. The only downside is the increased length of the pen component. It is too long and can get caught on clothing or skin with close contact. As you can see from the photos the pins look great. I ordered a few of these along with thicker quilting needles. I've found that the thicker ones don't penetrate the thick Arcturus wool blankets I ordered, but these wooden ones do. Turns a blanket into a functional Elven/Viking cloak. I will order more. (This year I'm donating camping blankets.)

I have ordered two of them. They are made in China. Both pins were unsharpened and had to be filed down before they could break through the fleece throw with moderate force. They are easy to sharpen with a file as the metal is soft. On one of the two (two different styles) the pin's eye was too big to prevent it from coming loose. Now they can be made to work, but they don't shoot "right out of the box". ouch . . . I attached the pin's eye with a couple of small Vizigels and reworked the bent…
