Definitely worth the price

Absolutely the best quality for price in a gator. They seem durable and I’ve hiked a few peaks with them and have been through a lot of snow. So far no issues. They seem durable so far and the fleece is a nice touch to keep a tad warmer in the snow

Pros
  • Gave these as an Xmas gift to a field researcher, awesome.
Cons
  • The fabric may rip or tear easily, reducing durability

These things are fantastic!’

I ordered these for actually protecting my shins from grass stains when I weed whip. I ordered them yesterday and the came today. One day shipping. For the price I was expecting nice but not great quality. Boy was I wrong. They are very well made, heavier than I ever expected material. Perfect fit and easy to put on. To say that I am happy with these leg coverings is an understatement. And the price is phenomenal! If you are looking for well constructed product ant an extremely reasonable price

Pros
  • Outdoor Recreation
Cons
  • They may not be suitable for hot climates due to insufficient ventilation

Thin material atop, flimsy chains on bottom

Material is too thin, doesn't keep warm or protect against elements. Also doesn't wrap snuggly against legs therefore allowing water in while walking in snow. Plant debris also get onto pant legs because of the loose fit while hiking and gardening. Chains on the bottom of the shoe are flimsy, will not withstand prolonged hiking scraping against rocky, gravel areas.

Pros
  • ‎mens
Cons
  • They may not be suitable for people with thin or frail calves

They did alright for my opinion

I wish the bottom strap wasnt plastic. Something more durable for lots of hiking off the beaten path would be nice. My legs stayed dry and the velcro held really well

Pros
  • Waterproof design offers protection during rainy or snowy days
Cons
  • The gaiters may catch on rocks, roots, and other obstacles, causing users to trip or fall

Very short in length, poor stitching, get what you pay for

I wouldn't recommend these to anyone other than for kids going snowshoeing 1-2 times. The design is correct, but they probably have a life of a few days max. Plastic buckles for the under-shoe straps , and the straps are sewn to the nylon fabric with one set of stitches only.Worse still, they are very short -- look at the main picture and cut about half of the length shown off and that's how long they actually are. I'm guessing they will hit an average adult in about the middle of the calf…

Pros
  • Worked really well during a 13 hour hike ( snow, ashes, rocks) . Definitely recommend.
Cons
  • The gaiters can be quite bulky, making them uncomfortable to wear for long periods

They keep snow out of boots when hiking in snow

I have only used these gaiters a few times but they attached easily and securely and kept the snow out while hiking in 3-5 inch snow. I can't speak to keeping warm in really cold conditions. However, they worked perfectly for my needs and at a very affordable price.

Pros
  • Ideal for nature enthusiasts and outdoor enthusiasts
Cons
  • The product may not be as protective as other outdoor gear, such as knee pads or shin guards

XL is too small on my review.

I really wanted to give these gaiters a good review. I didn't think I had monster-size calves, but I can't get the velcro to close around my leg even with the largest size they carry. I'm not a particularly big guy (5'10" and 200lbs). Rather than return them I'll probably give them to my daughter and see of she can wear them.I think the design could be improved if they added a snap or plastic clasp to the top strap to make it easier to secure.

Pros
  • Sports & Outdoors
Cons
  • Not ideal for use on slippery terrain, as they can make users too top-heavy

Good product. Would buy again.

Wore these on the AT during winter. Held up great, kept my legs warm. I didn't have winter pants on and it was snowing, but these gaiters kept my legs pretty warm. They're not lightweight, but they're not heavy either. I also like the orange because it makes me easy to find if I die on the trail.

Pros
  • ‎Trekking, Running
Cons
  • The gaiters may not fit snugly enough for some users

Perfect Fit good for me

These gaters were perfect for my legs. The lining is flexible and water tight and the velcro is strong and durable. The hook for my boot laces is riveted firmly in place, and the under strap isreinforced plastice for wear resistance. Good product.

Pros
  • Made with high-quality materials for durability
Cons
  • The gaiters may become stiff and uncomfortable in extreme cold conditions
