This was a great deal for something exactly as described. I use it to check my houseplants for pests. The different magnification levels are very helpful. I also like the small size because you can get as close as you need without the lens getting in the way of the plant like larger magnifiers do.

Having had very good (expensive) Hasting trebles in the past I was very skeptical about buying this for my very picky son, he wanted a good magnifying glass for his numismatic hobby. He tried several other loops and gave them up. I didn't want to spend a lot of money on something he wouldn't like so we tried this loupe, 10 x 21 Hasting Triplet. The optical quality is actually pretty good and the frame feels solid. I didn't notice any chromatic aberrations and the glass was very clear. We'll see

Oversized folding magnifier measuring over 6 inches when open with cap/handle thickness of approximately 36 mm or 1.38 inches. When closed, it measures 3.66 inches by 2.37 inches by 1.38 inches. In my opinion too big to fit comfortably in your pocket. The free opening is about 46 mm. Definitely NOT a 10x magnification compared to the Belomo 10x Hastings Triplet Loupe, but not as much over the top performance as many Chinese made loupes claim. , Much narrower magnification than the Carson…
