Stitches perfectly - see photo with measuring tape

I hesitated to buy this foot as many customers complained about the sloppy stitching. I had to adjust the needle by 2mm, but that's nothing new. This foot helped me make a precise 1/4 inch stitch (see photo) after centering the needle. Just a note: There are similar "inaccurate" reviews for all other 1/4" feet. There must be a problem with the needle placement. This is perfect for my Brother SE 1900.

Pros
  • Waiting for
Cons
  • The list will be long.

Doesn't fit my Kenmore machine and doesn't move smoothly across fabric

It was torn off by a hair's breadth, causing the needle to break. If the hole had been oval it would have been fine, but the circle was just so misaligned that I was afraid it wouldn't work. I tried anyway, only the needle broke. It didn't move freely to slide smoothly across the fabric when there was more than one layer. I'm disappointed as I was about to start quilting but I need to keep looking for the 1/4 inch foot.

Pros
  • Pretty impressive
Cons
  • boring packaging

INACCURATE

I stupidly finished MANY quilt blocks before realizing that this presser foot wasn't giving me a paltry quarter inch seam. If I had thought of moving the needle to the right, I might have been more successful. The edge guide is almost useless as it moves outward against the momentum of the fabric. I just tested the other leg without the lead and it works fine. I'm disappointed in both myself and my leg.

Pros
  • Fits all Singer low shank* sewing machines (some Singers require a low shank adapter), Brother, Babylock, Euro-Pro, Janome, Kenmore, White, Juki, New Home, Simplicity, Necchi and Elna.
Cons
  • Quick Start Guide

Terrible quality

If you stitch, you need a precision 1/4" foot for sewing. I had to replace my previous presser foot because after a while it was metal The guide on the right side (which runs along the outer edge of the fabric) spreads out a bit, and then you no longer have an accurate 1/4" measurement from the fabric edge to the seam. I don't see the return because of room in the trunk for something taking something so cheap and small seems fun but I will not be able to use it, nor do I see any point in…

Pros
  • Precise control markings on 3 sides of the presser foot for clarity and accuracy
Cons
  • Not sure
