Where has this little thing been all my life?

Fantastic item! No more sore fingers from twisting wire nuts with my fingers all day. I don't know what people do to damage it because if you use it properly it should last you a lifetime. I'm more worried about losing it than breaking it. Twist the wires with a good pair of pliers for proper use. Cut the ends of both wires so that they are the same length and one wire does not point towards the end or it may pop out of the nut. Then hand tighten the nut about two turns to hold it on the wires.

Pros
  • Satisfied so far
Cons
  • Will write later

What protection for wrists and fingers! If you've ever wired a house, you know how hard it is on your fingers and wrists to twist those wire nuts all day. Even with gloves and tape to improve grip on my fingers, my fingers were wet at the end of the day while renovating my house. This tool literally takes the pain out of twisting wire nuts! I use mine on a ratchet and it works great with wing wire nuts. Preliminary twisting of copper with pliers is not required; Just insert the wires, turn on…

Pros
  • Great overall performance
Cons
  • Doubtful

Need a smaller model for wingless nuts.

Great idea, but wingless wire nuts won't work. I don't do big commercial wiring. Thought this would be great for occasional home wiring as I transition to smart switches. The fact is that most consumer light switches have round terminals. Those are the ones that hurt my hands. I have no problems with wings grabbing plugs. I thought this tool would support both types. It was HUGE (hence the term XL) for my projects so I cut it down. Wing style still fits. However, the round has no stop inside. I
