Never had a chance to use it because my boy died shortly after it came out. However, my sister uses it for her older dogs and it works very well.

Light weight. Should have measured the door opening on the truck. (Chevy Silverado 2500HD 2002) Can't open the door far enough but works fine for our older dogs. Also used it on our pool ladder so our younger dog could get into the pool.

The ramp is used on my pickup to get my dog to the back row so I find the ramp a bit wider and quite difficult to manage. handles most weight problems with ease and the gripping surface is very good. Some of the ramp edges are pretty sharp.

Good things with this ramp; wide, sturdy, fits in the trunk of my pickup truck, folds in half for storage, my 110 lb German Shepherd with arthritis has no problem and is not afraid to go up and down the ramp. Not very good things; When the ramp bisects, listen for the turtle to click (it may pinch your fingers). After reading the other reviews I was expecting some work. There have been many complaints about sharp edges and loose screws. Well there were 2 loose screws (the only 2 screws on the product) and an edge that needed a quick file through. But since it arrived fully assembled, it was up and running in 5 minutes. It stays stable on the tailgate and feels very solid. It was the lightest ramp I could find, with a few inches more width. My wife uses it to load dogs and tools. I'm sure this will work
