This case is very easy to install, snaps easily into place and feels very durable. I'm not a drop prone person so I can't say if it prevented damage to my iPad but overall I think you can go well if you pair this case with a glass screen protector . It has a good silicone coating. The only issue I'm really having is that I opened up the kickstand on the back to check it out and I'm not sure if it's set up that way, but the kickstand won't go back into the case, it sticks out somehow. one piece.

I got this case for my iPad (8th gen) about two days ago and so far I love everything about it. It is very easy to assemble, which is a definite plus. The case itself fits like a glove, the buttons are very easy to press, and all the speakers, cameras, and ports are within easy reach. I love the fact that the corners have very soft bumpers and the body feels very solid and heavy. And the kickstand allows you to use it in both portrait and landscape modes, which is nice. Clever design. Easy to assemble - and just as easy to disassemble. The hard case allows you to use the clip on your iPad's gooseneck without worrying about the clip damaging the edge of your iPad. I bought this and couldn't figure out how the tablet fits in the case. I searched the web for instructions and there were 2 other questions from others asking the same question. The supplier's response was "it's easy" with no further replies or instructions. I sent the case back and will spend the money elsewhere for a protective case.
