For me one of the best utility knives!

Choosing the right blade is a matter of personal preference. There are so many to choose from when it comes to DE razors and each may or may not suit a particular beard and skin type. I think my search is over since trying Rapira Swedish Supersteel. For years I used a local private label renamed Personna but they stopped selling it a few years ago. I cleared out their stocks when they went on sale, but they've finally run out lately. I bought several packs of probes to see if I could find a…

Pros
  • Excellent overall performance
Cons
  • Doubtful

Great shave for men

The only better shave I've tried is PolSilver Super Iridium, but they are licensed by Gillette and are more expensive because the metal is rare and they last a long time. However, these Russian blades are the best and I can afford to change blades frequently to avoid potential skin problems. They are as good for a shave as anything I have tried and they leave my face very smooth. I tried 2 blades in a sample and was sold, I ordered a couple of them.

Pros
  • Worth the money
Cons
  • Weak shave

Comfortable and forgiving. i love rapira

The first time I used it in the Gillette technique and it wasn't impressed at first but the second time I used it in my 1957 Gillette Superspeed and oh my God it was smooth and sharp something like sunrise but sharper then I tried it in my Razorine and it worked great but then again as YMMV says it's the same 3rd razor blade I guess I should I don't go for the #4 shave, I don't have a heavy mustache and that works for me.

Pros
  • Not only useful for its intended purpose
Cons
  • Everything is fine

These are my favorites out of a dozen or so blades I've tried

A few months ago I started shaving with a single Double Edge (DE) blade to try and get rid of the red pimples and reduce other shaving irritations I get when I shave my head. I'm happy to say that it was a great success in that regard! I've tried many sample blades and these particular Swedish Super Steel blades really stood out to me as the best, so I ordered a full set and a few more shaves later I'm very happy so far. It's like Goldilocks to me, not too spicy and not too dumb. They don't…

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • Not automatic

Very smooth, affordable, short lived, low irritation

The smoothest blades I have ever used. I've tried Sunrise, Crystal, Shark, Astral, Gillet, etc. Not the sharpest, but I shave at face value; one pass to reduce irritation. It is very good. They last me 4 shaves while I shoot. It may take longer, but I don't risk any possible irritation.

Pros
  • Easy to install
Cons
  • Durable
